the early years:

Rok Reberšek was born in 1978 in Maribor, Slovenia (most north-western country of former Yugoslavia). In his childhood, he already fell in love with electronically generated music and listened to Kraftwerk, Jean Michelle Jarre, Giorgio Moroder etc. His biggest wish was to own a synthesizer. After attending many piano lessions his parents made this wish come true.

Rok Reberšek se je rodil leta 1978 v Mariboru. Že v otroštvu je vzljubil takratno elektronsko generirano glasbo in poslušal izvajalce kot so Kraftwerk, Jean Michelle Jarre, Giorgio Moroder itd. Njegova največja želja je bila imeti synthesizer in po dolgih učnih urah klavirja so mu jo starši tudi uresničili.

discovering the computer:

Rok has been a computer freak ever since Commodore 64 came out in the mid 80s. With the PC, he was able to combine his musical talent and programming. With the DOS sequencer MOD-Edit he created his first track in 1994. Since then he continuously upgraded his equipment with the only goal - to achieve the sound he was searching for.

odkritje računalnika:

Rok je bil računalniški zasvojenec že od izida Commodore 64 v sredini osemdesetih let. Z osebnim računalnikom PC mu je uspelo združiti svoj glasbeni talent in programiranje. S sekvencerjem MOD-Edit v okolju DOS je napisal svojo prvo skladbo leta 1994. Od takrat je nenehno nadgrajeval svojo opremo, z enim samim ciljem - doseči zvok, katerega je iskal.

from 1998 to 2002 :

This was the time he started his career as a DJ. Italo-Dance was the most popular electronic music in the country. Influenced by Gigi D'Agostino, Gabry Ponte, Prezioso, he felt the wish for standing behind the decks himself. His friend and experienced DJ, Timmy, introduced him into the craft of being a DJ. He played in several clubs and discos, gaining much experience. Although trance was practically unknown in his country, he adored the Dutch and German trance scene.

od leta 1998 do 2002 :

To je bil čas, ko je začel svojo kariero kot DJ. Italo-dance je bil na višku popularnosti. Pod vplivi umetnikov kot so Gigi D'Agostino, Gabry Ponte, Prezioso, je začutil potrebo, da tudi sam vrti za gramofoni. Njegov prijatelj in izkušen DJ, Timmy, ga je vpeljal v svet didžejstva. Igral je v številnih klubih in diskotekah, kjer si je nabiral izkušnje. Čeprav je bil trance v slovenski javnosti praktično neznan, je že takrat oboževal nizozemsko in nemško trance sceno.

dedicating himself to trance:

Working as a disco DJ for many years during his study, he decided to dedicate himself to his favourite genre and contribute to its popularity in his own country. He switched over his production from Italo-Dance to Trance and released 3 tracks in 2006 and 2007 at the Portugese label Time2Trance. He organised some of the most stunning trance-events Slovenia has seen so far (Equinox, Trance meets Techno...) and became the host of the first Slovenian trance radio show "transLOVEnia" on Radio Overload in December 2007. Currently, he is working on promising new tracks and collaborates with domestic DJs, vocalists and musicians.

predal se je trance glasbi:

V študentskih letih, po večletnem delu kot DJ, se je odločil, da se popolnoma posveti svojemu najljubšemu žanru in pripomore k njegovi popularnosti v Sloveniji. Svojo produkcijo je preusmeril iz italo dance na trance glasbo in izdal 3 komade pri portugalski založbi Time2Trance v letih 2006 in 2007. Organiziral je nekatere najodmevnejših trance eventov v Sloveniji (Equinox, Trance meets Techno...) in postal moderator prve trancerske radijske oddaje "transLOVEnia" na Radiu Overload decembra 2007. Trenutno se poleg oddaje posveča novim produkcijam, sodeluje z domačimi DJi, vokalisti in glasbeniki.
